Gear Up Bike Shop “Mechanical”

We invite kids to learn and earn bikes through completing tasks and community service. The bike shop is a place where kids develop healthy relationships with positive role models while learning basic mechanical skills and the value of hard work. We teach them how to keep their bikes functioning and safe.

The Gear Up Bike Shop is open Tuesdays 5:00pm – 7:00pm and Saturdays 10:00am – 12:00pm

Learning Zone “Relationships”

We offer one-on-one tutoring for children in our community providing them with a safe place to do their homework with the assistance of a volunteer tutor.  Supervised use of laptops and printers is available for the youth to complete their school assignments. Learning Zone will follow the CMS school calendar. It’s more than tutoring; it’s investing in our youth that will make the difference.

Two sessions are scheduled: 4:00pm – 5:00pm and 5:00pm to 6:00pm.

Women’s Bible Study “Fellowship”

 Women’s bible study seeks to make disciples by connecting women into meaningful, Christ-centered relationships for genuine community, spiritual growth and thoughtful outreach, collaboratively impacting the local community for Christ its fellowship with a bible study.

Manna for Life

Community showing compassion for others. During the month our community collects or brings food to share with other families. Manna-for-life program works to alleviate food insecurities and the challenges facing those who have fallen on difficult times.  Our volunteers help to collect, pack, and give the food blessings to our families. The goal is to provide physical and spiritual nourishment.

Every second Saturday of the month.

English as a Second Language “Communication”

Power Up, Electrical Class ‘’Energize’’

This class provides hands-on training for adults from 18yr. to 60yr. The students are taught tool recognition, fittings, and wiring application, and hands on pipe bending using formulas. A certificate is provided for the graduates and an opportunity to interview with a local staffing company we are partnering with.

Duration: 7 weeks 14 session class Mondays and Thursdays

The Table. ‘’Let’s Gather”

Outreach that is focused on our seniors we are presently assisting at Renaissance at Antiquity an over 55 affordable housing apartment complex.  The purpose of the Table is to enhance the quality of life for our seniors by providing them outlets such as meals, bingo, art classes, we can achieve this by partnering with other nonprofits, Angels & Sparrows for meals, Cain Center for the Arts for free art classes. NCC volunteers help with the delivery of meals and supplies. The most beautiful part of this program is the interaction between the Residents and the volunteers.

Financial Education ‘’Freedom’’

Students learn the fundamentals of money management in financial literacy classes, including budgeting, saving, paying off debt, investing and more. Students learn to build strong money habits that promote self-determination and empowers the student to have a voice in money matters that impact their lives.

Classes in Spanish: Wednesdays and Fridays 7:00pm – 8:30 pm. Classes in English: Virtual-zoom Dates to be determined
Thursdays 5:30 pm – 7:00 pm

Y-life “Dreams’’

Our kids get to go to summer camps! Thanks to our incredible partners in our community.
Middle schoolers and High school students are involved in gaining teamwork skills!! in the process learn how differently they are created; community churches lead the way and other nonprofits. Retreats and Mission trips are two ways we tap into blessings that make this happen.

Portions of Love “Tangible”

Kids helping other kids. Families jump into action, when schools are closed, to assist. Our community volunteers to deliver lunches during the summer, ensuring that every kid receives a lunch every day during the time they are not attending school.
June, July, and August until school begins in the Fall.
